WELCOME TO WORSHIP OPENING PRAYER OPENING SONG “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us”

1. How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss. The Father turns His face away as wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many saints to glory.

2. Behold the Man upon the cross, my sin upon His shoulders. Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life. I know that it is finished.

3. I will not boast in anything: No gifts, no power, no wisdom. But I will boast in Jesus Christ: His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer. But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom. But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.

YOUNG DISCIPLES TIME

PASTORAL PRAYER

THE LORD’S PRAYER

2 SCRIPTURE READING John 20:19-31 (CEB) It was still the first day of the week. That evening, while the disciples were behind closed doors because they were afraid for the Jewish authorities, Jesus came and stood among them. He said, “Peace be with you.” After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. When the disciples saw the Lord, they were filled with joy. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I am sending you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you don’t forgive them, they aren’t forgiven.

Thomas, the one called Didymus, one of the Twelve, wasn’t with the disciples when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We’ve seen the Lord!” But he replied, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands, put my finger in the wounds left by the nails, and put my hand into his side, I won’t believe.” After eight days his disciples were again in a house and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus entered and stood among them. He said, “Peace be with you.”

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here. Look at my hands. Put your hand into my side. No more disbelief. Believe!” Thomas responded to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus replied, “Do you believe because you see me? Happy are those who don’t see and yet believe.” Then Jesus did many other miraculous signs in his disciples’ presence, signs that aren’t recorded in this scroll. But these things are written so that you will believe that Jesus is the Christ, God’s Son, and that believing, you will have life in his name.

SERMON “Little Moments of Grace”

CLOSING PRAYER CLOSING SONG “My Lighthouse”

1. In my wrestling and in my doubts, in my failures, You won’t walk out. Your great love will lead me through; You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh, You are the peace in my troubled sea.

2. In the silence, You won’t let go. In the questions Your truth will hold. Your great love will lead me through; You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh, You are the peace in my troubled sea.

Chorus: My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse shining in the darkness, I will follow You! Oh, my Lighthouse, my Lighthouse, I will trust the promise: You will carry me safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore.

3. I won’t fear what tomorrow brings. With each morning I’ll rise and sing. My God’s love will lead me through; You are the peace in my troubled sea, whoa oh, You are the peace in my troubled sea.

Chorus: My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse shining in the darkness, I will follow You! Oh, my Lighthouse, my Lighthouse, I will trust the promise: You will carry me safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore.

Bridge: Fire before us, You’re the brightest. You will lead us through the storms. (four times)

Chorus: My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse shining in the darkness, I will follow You! Oh, my Lighthouse, my Lighthouse, I will trust the promise: You will carry me safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore.
